Afraid of the Dark

A few minutes ago, Autumn came out of her bedroom that she shares with her sister and said, "Mommy, I'm afraid of the dark."

"What are you afraid of?" I asked.

"Lions and crickets," she said.

"Well, there are no lions in your room," I said. "And the crickets are outside."

"I'm also afraid of owls," Autumn continued. There's an owl that lives in a tree near their window and he hoots all night.

"The owl is outside," I said, trying to comfort her.

Then she said, "I'm also afraid of sissy."

I was speechless, trying not to laugh!
